Palm Tree Technology is proud to announce the addition of Christian J. Hessler, former architect with Sun Microsystems, to the executive team as CTO and Chief Scientist. Christian comes to Palm Tree from Sun Microsystems, where he was a Sr. Staff Engineer/Architect specializing in enterprise agile development. Previously a senior engineer for CitySearch, Data Transit International and Computer Associates, he was also an IT officer for online banking with First American National Bank. An accomplished technology author, digital media consultant and music composer of film/TV/game scores, Christian holds a BSc from Vanderbilt University, an MSc in Computer Science and Information Technology from Regis University, and an MC in Music and Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music. In addition to leading the Palm Tree technical vision, he is currently pursuing his PhD the University of Colorado focusing on multimedia, security and technology. He has also studied technology, engineering, security and music at Stanford, UCLA, NYU, Apple, Sun, THX, Yamaha, Cisco and Microsoft and is a member of IEEE, ASCAP, NARAS, SMTPE, SCL, IASIG, GANG and AES.
