Ross Macdonald BSc, MBA

CEO
Ross is an international business developer and entrepreneur in the IT and Telecommunications sectors. He was a part of the MTN start-up team in 1993 and served as Group Executive for International Business Development thereafter. In this role Ross was the architect of the international expansion strategy and he led the Groups successful bids for numerous mobile licenses across the African Continent. After leaving MTN in 2002, he relocated to the UK where he continued his work in Telecommunications by operating a specialist Telecoms advisory and consulting business. He was a founder of the Adage Group of Companies which plays advisory roles in Telecoms and IT businesses in the UK , Africa and the Middle East. He is a founder and director of ConvergeNet Holdings Limited an ICT services and solutions company listed on the JSE. He holds other directorships. A University of Cape Town graduate, Ross holds a B.Sc. degree in Engineering as well as an MBA.

Christian J. Hessler

BSc, MSc, MC
Chief Scientist and CTO
Christian came to Palm Tree from Sun Microsystems, where he was a Sr. Staff Engineer/Architect specializing in enterprise agile development. Previously a senior engineer for CitySearch, Data Transit International and Computer Associates, he was also an IT officer for online banking with First American National Bank. An accomplished technology author and digital media consultant, Christian holds a BSc from Vanderbilt University, an MSc in Computer Science and Information Technology from Regis University, and a MC in Music from Berklee. In addition to leading the Palm Tree technical vision, he is currently pursuing graduate studies at Harvard University focused on security and technology. He has also studied technology, engineering, security and music at Stanford, UCLA, NYU, Apple, Sun, THX, Yamaha, Cisco and Microsoft and is a member of IEEE, ASCAP, NARAS, SMTPE, SCL, IASIG, GANG, TED and AES.

Louise Robertson

Chief Marketing Officer
Louise Robertson is Chief Marketing Officer of Palm Tree Technology responsible for marketing, social media strategy and communications for the portfolio of products. Previously Louise worked with Clearswift the award winning web and email content security company implementing their new global brand. Before 2008, she gained substantial web, direct marketing and communication experience, working for Bayer, Agfa, Financial Times (Electronic Publishing) and LexisNexis. She established a solid commercial reputation producing strong and timely integration marketing following LexisNexis rapid acquisition of Axxia and Visualfiles.

Marios Psyllides FCCA

Financial Controller
Marios is a Chartered Certified Accountant, having qualified in 1995, been granted Fellowship status in 2000, and has 20 years experience in public practice in the UK. He has been at managerial level for the past 10 years, dealing with a huge number and variety of clients, specialising in audit, accounts preparation, management accounting and tax enquiry work.
